I was recently asked about my views on Adam and Eve, whether I believe in theistic evolution, etc. While I do plan to cover this issue in the future, we're not quite there yet. However, here is a teaser from Allister McGrath. I will say that I am not concretely in any one camp on the issue of Adam and Eve. Currently I do think of them as historical persons, but in what sense they are historical I am unsure. Based on what McGrath says in this video he may hold a looser view than I do, but I think along similar lines as far as Adam being an archetypal representative of humanity in the same way Jesus was. One can hold to that regardless of their view of Adam's historicity.
